I successfully navigated Day Two!
I started off sluggish, but got better as the day wore on. I'm still struggling with diet pop the most; I love the stuff. I probably had about 30 ounces again.
Breakfast was bacon again, but I added turkey sausage patties (two small ones) in to try and boost up my morning protein. I ate the turkey chili for both my first and second lunches; it wasn't bad at all. For snacks, I had a couple of small beefsticks and a handful of peanuts (trying to keep the peanut consumption low). For dinner, it was carb-free hotwings and green beans.
No exercise tonight. The kettlebell swings were having their effects; my legs were feeling it. I will do them again on Day Three.
Just a few more days to cheat day, which aligns perfectly with my son's birthday.
Woke up on day three, by the way, feeling quite well. I think the low (or slow) carb diets suit me well.

Day One
Day one of the 4 hour body experiment for me is in the books. It wasn't that rough; the biggest things I missed were diet sodas and I went through a period where I was craving carbs (of course). I cheated a bit with the soda, having probably 30 oz or so where the book recommends 16 tops.
As far as food, I started the day with bacon. I don't like eggs, so this is a breakfast problem for me. I probably didn't get enough protein for breakfast as a result.
For lunch #1, it was KFC: grilled breast, grilled wing, and green beans (two orders). I tossed the biscuit.
Lunch #2 consisted of a concoction I made: canned chicken, rotel, black beans, and green beans. It was okay...not terribly tasty but part of the sacrifice!
For dinner, the wife had made some slow carb chili: ground turkey, black beans, rotel; not sure what else. Well, we decided at the last minute to go to Chipotle and have a fajita bowl instead. It was fairly tasty...no rice, no sour cream, just steak, beans, a little cheese, and the fajita mixings.
Even though I had more pop than I should have, I did pound the water today. I don't know exactly how much, but I'm certain it was over 50 ounces.
I bought a kettlebell today, and tried the exercises tonight. You can tell that they are effective. I only did two sets of 10 after swinging a few just to get the hang of it. I then tried to do some of the crunches suggested in the book, but my back spasmed on me so that didn't last long. I'll probably try to do more of those tonight.
I cheated this morning and took a peak at the scale out of curiosity; I should only do that on Saturday mornings. But I was down a pound anyway. I'm very interested to see what Saturday morning will look like. Saturday is my cheat day.
One day of this journey is in the books! I'm feeling a little sluggish this morning. I'm sure I'll have some withdrawal symptoms moving forward, but I feel like I can do this.
